The
opening of the Sir Ivan Stedeford Hospital in 1966 on the Avadi -
Ambattur Trunk Road marked a significant milestone in the history
of the AMM Charities Trust (currently known as AMM Foundation).
Located in Ambattur, Chennai this modern multi-speciality hospital
has been serving 4,50,000 patients a year. It performs nearly
5,000 surgeries every year and
it makes available, specialist services. The hospital also has fully equipped
intensive care unit (ICU) and is always well prepared to handle
emergencies. |
A
close friend of the AMM family, Sir Ivan Stedeford was
instrumental in starting the TI factory and TII complex in
India. Hence the hospital is named after him.
